Since our current Procurement Manager is taking the next career step within our organization in the global pharmaceutical production site in Turku, we are now looking for an experienced result and solution-oriented successor for this permanent position.
As Regional Procurement Managers, we are Bayer`s interface between the pharmaceuticals manufacturing sites and the global Procurement network, engaging with internal business partners and handling suppliers, functioning as the key Procurement contact for our site leadership teams.
We are looking for talent who understand and can deliver value across the role`s diverse elements including sustainability, risk mitigation, supply agility & innovation, on top of cashflow optimization and savings. Ultimately, you will play a critical role in driving increased and sustainable Procurement effectiveness to support Bayer´s growth strategy!
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish effective, trustful, and personal relationships with key site partners to set joint target agreements, align joint projects, and serve as the contact point for all Procurement related topics for the business community.
- Build know-how on business strategies and objectives to understand and challenge the resulting Procurement requirements at the sites.
- Provide Procurement procedural know-how, guidance, and governance to business partners.
- Lead a structured exchange between the site and the category leadership network, focusing on site-related material and supplier topics, as well as overarching projects and initiatives.
- Develop cross-category know-how, to evaluate potential impacts of category strategies on any site initiatives and drive their implementation.
- Assure the supply for Turku, representing a major share in Bayer`s Women`s Healthcare business.
- Control the regional market oversight to find opportunities and potential supply constraints to be addressed.
- Create and develop supply relationships with assigned suppliers to drive continuous improvement in our collaboration and shapes a sustainable supplier landscape.
- Drive sourcing activities for the assigned suppliers including the delegation to external service providers.
- Support sourcing events for critical, cross-site initiatives and facilitate direct communication and alignment.
WHO YOU ARE
- BA/BS degree, MBA/MS preferred, in engineering or business management and 6–8 years of professional business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong partner engagement skills combined with collaboration, influencing, and communication proficiencies
- Capable to work in a global and virtual working environment and able to lead virtual teams (also without r-line responsibility)
- Experienced in acting in diverse and cross-functional project teams and working in a constantly evolving, global environment
- Fully carries out Procurement directive to business partners
- Shown expertise in procurement and procurement processes and methodologies (e.g., category management, supplier management, and sourcing)
- Organizational change and project management capabilities
- Financial foresight including a strategic mentality seasoned with analytical decision-making skills
- Fluent in Finnish; high proficiency level in English
